Simone Haeckel studied fine art at the Kunsthochschule Kassel and experimental media design at the Berlin University of the Arts. She completed her studies as a master student. In her work, she explores the relationships between people, animals, and places. Her digital photo and video montages are characterized by surreal, often poetic scenes in which she brings together elements from different contexts and reinterprets them.
